   Debbie and I would like to thank the LITD community for their support and prayers over the past year.  I am completely healed, my pancreas has stopped leaking and I am getting a little stronger each day.  It seems so insufficient to just say "thanks" but know that we were both deeply moved and humbled by your continued show of support.

Blessings, Steven

   on behalf of Tina Blackmon

     I’m sending a prayer request for my husband Brian, he has been diagnosed today with Nystagmus (rapid involuntary eye movement) and its making his vision blurry, and he’s a truck driver. I’m praying for a miracle and asking God to heal his eyes. He has  a heart of gold and we’ve both lost our fathers in the last 5 months, please pray that he’s healed and has no problems. I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus, amen. I know God is with us and I trust that he is already taken care of this for us. Amen

Blackmon, Tina  Tina_Blackmon@unchealthcare.org>

Tina is not a member of our community, but I wouldn’t turn down this request, those of you who know me also know I have a nystagmus in both eyes.

   From Carol Arnold

      Please pray for Martina.  She is 17 years old and is suffering with calcifinosis, a painful, debilitating condition, as a result of her having dermatomyacitis. She is a sweet, loving girl and an A+ student, but it is getting harder and harder for her.  She is being treated at Duke University Hospital.  My friend, Roberta, Martina's mom, needs prayer also.  It has been a very hard year. They live in North Carolina. Her husband lost his job and is now working here on Long Island on the bay.  They are still in jeopardy of losing their house.  Her Dad (who is like my second father) has terminal cancer.  Roberta always had a strong faith, but she is in such a dark place that she won't even pray or talk about God, except to say she is angry and doesn't want to hear about Him.  She said seeing her daughter suffer this way is killing her faith.  Please, please pray for this family.  Roberta has been my best friend since we met in third grade.  Please pray that our Lord will give me and her Mom (a strong Christian) the right words when we talk to her.  Dear Lord, please bring healing to Martina and to this family.  Bring my friend's heart back to you.

Love and blessings to all,

Ann & Roy Olsen - Please pray for our friend Beth, a wife and mother of two young children, who has been having seizures for years and is recuperating from brain surgery.  The seizures have prevented her from working, driving and many other things that we take for granted.  The seizures have also caused a lot of irreparable damage to her brain, especially her memory, and we ask you to pray for a good recovery and prevention of further damage.

Hello to all my prayer warriors!

I would like to start out by saying Thank you to God for providing my family with a great trip to Disney. We were able to enjoy our time and even got to see some very dear friends while there. Thank you to all of you who have kept me and my brain tumor in your prayers for almost 3 years now. I feel God working in every area of my life and feel the strength of your love and prayers everyday.

Since the moment I found out about the tumor I have felt a peace about this journey and still feel that peace today. God has never left my side. I truly feel Him with me.  I know that wherever this journey takes me, God will be there. I praise God and Jesus for their grace, mercy and never ending love. To have them in your heart and soul is to be blessed. I think that's why I've had trouble asking for prayers of healing. Even as I began writing this request, I was still having trouble but I also remembered that with the faith of a mustard seed, mountains can be moved. I also remember that I am a child of God and He is faithful and true and if we trust and believe anything and everything is possible. So, with that said, I have begun to ask for healing of my body ( He is constantly working on my soul!) and now ask for your prayers as well.

Since February, my tumor has grown and has caused me to have focal seizures almost weekly. These seizures are a minor inconvenience that effect only the left side of my body and last for a minute or two. I now pray during them which is cool. The biggest problem I have is that until they stop I can not drive. Tough for a full time working, single mother of two small children. Praise God that again He has provided and my family is always there to give me whatever assistance I need. Although I don't say it enough, thank you and I love you.

On Thursday 11/17, I will be having a special MRI at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. I believe the results of this "Functional MRI" will show what areas are causing my foot, leg and arm difficulties and whether my tumor has grown enough for a partial removal. The doctors will also determine if surgery is needed to see if I should start chemo and radiation.

I am praying and asking for your prayers for a complete healing of the tumor, for the doctors to allow themselves to be guided by God, for the strengthening of my body so that my walking will return to normal and be pain free, for my balance to be improved and for the seizures to stop permanently. I am also praying that my ears and heart remain open to what God wishes me to do on this journey.

I have been drawn to a story found in the gospels but especially to Mark's version. It is about a boy who has seizures and the disciples can not heal him so they ask Jesus why and after healing the boy He says that "this kind can only be healed by prayer"

Thank you for being part of the community I can draw strength and prayers from, I am truly blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life.

May you feel God walking with you always,

Nicole Trudil-Gogarty

From Nancy Wibben

   Hi everyone,

If anyone has a minute to send a letter to my friend Andrea DeVecchis, we both would be soooooooooo blessed!!!! Andrea turns 25 this Saturday.  She has been battling drug addiction since she’s 16.  She is now at Phoenix House in Lake Ronkonkoma. I am the only friend who visits her at this time.  Her family as not gone to see her yet, and she has a 5 year old daughter who she misses terribly. I feel she is trying very hard to live, but without support and encouragement she seems like she’s dying.

   Though you don’t know her, I believe in the power of prayer and the “miracle of the cards” like the movie that came out several years ago about a boy who was dying. His mother asked friends, neighbors, co-workers, community to send him a card.  He received thousands!!!!  He lived!!!

   I believe Andrea is going to make it too if  she has support and loving, Christian people in her life to encourage her to keep on going and to grab Jesus’ hand and not let go!  Like the Palanca we all received on our weekends, how we were so blessed by so many people we did not know.

   If you can send an encouraging word, her address is:

Andrea DeVecchis

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!

With love,

   Debbie & Mike Ladenheim - Our 16 y/o daughter Grace Ladenheim is in Germany for the year as a foreign exchange student. She was awared a scholarship through the US State Dept.  Her host family is very nice, but not active in church.  She is looking for a vibrant Christian church with an active youth group, but has not found anything so far.  Please pray that God will guide her to the right church and she will be able to find transportation to get there.  Even better - pray that her host family will take her to church and find Jesus!

Thanks!  We'll let you know as soon as God's answer manifests itself.

Trixie Logan From Mike & Renee McCardle

   Trixie has been released from Apex rehab facility and is back home. When I spoke to her she was so thankful for the love that has been poured over her from the Body of Christ. The visits, the cards, the letters of encouragement and phone calls were all received with such gratitude and praise for our Lord. Please keep the love flowing.

   There is still work to be done! Trixie has a rather large neck brace that limits her movements. She cannot drive and will need assistance with getting to doctors appointments, shopping, Church and Bible studies or any other possible need. if those of you who are reading this feel a tug at the heart from our Lord please reach out to Trixie in service and love.

   We praise God for the opportunity to witness the faith and love for our Lord that Trixie Logan personifies. Her meek and gentle spirit is both encouraging and uplifting. She never worries or waivers and is such a powerful example of what it truly means to commit ALL areas of our lives to Christ. He does not disappoint, Amen.

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for yesterday (9/17).  Our faith was starting to dwindle and we were feeling at a loss here.  The community stepped in and just revived and renewed our strength.  Christ's loving arms were extended by the love expressed.  No rollo can express the Community In Action that stepped out yesterday.  We are so grateful for all the love that has been shown us through this whole time.  We have been so very blessed.  This is what Tres Dias is really all about and what it means to us.  We thank God for all of you and we love you all.

Update on Layla from Mike and Wendy  Hi everyone it’s been a while since we've updated Little Layla. She is  currently on Chemo- and will be for at least six weeks. The doctors are optomistic because she is having an easier time breathing. So they believe that the tumor is shrinking and might eventually be opperable. They know that it is a childhood cancer and very agressive. But God is good and can do great things. Thank you for continually asking and praying about her.

   Lisa reports that when she went to the hospital to have the clot removed, they found that it had dissolved on its own!!! Praise God!

  Also, Dennis has been tested to see if he was eligible to donate a kidney, AND HE IS A MATCH, now he needs to be tested to see if he’s healthy enough to donate. If everything works out they’re planning for surgery in January.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
   Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for yesterday.  Our faith was starting to dwindle and we were feeling at a loss here.  The community stepped in and just revived and renewed our strength.  Christ's loving arms were extended by the love expressed.  No rollo can express the Community In Action that stepped out yesterday.  We are so grateful for all the love that has been shown us through this whole time.  We have been so very blessed.  This is what Tres Dias is really all about and what it means to us.  We thank God for all of you and we love you all.
An update from my dad:
Surgery was not successful in removing the clot.  The external vein catheter was replaced and she was discharged to have dialysis and go home to the mountain.  She will see a new surgeon here on Long Island when she gets back next week.  She sounds in good spirits and happy to be away from the projected course of the upcoming hurricane.
Hey guys.  I just got a phone call from my mom (Lisa).  Apparently she has a blood clot in her arm--I think in the arm she has the dialysis fistula in.  She's currently upstate, and there's a strong possibility she may have to go into the hospital up there.
I'm just asking for prayer, that this blood clot is small and easy to take care of, that it "behaves itself" as she put it.
I'll give you more information as I get it.  Thank you!
A Request for Prayer and Call to Action
From Rick Logan and Mike & Renee McCardle
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy”
Trixie (Betrix) Logan, WLITD #74, Rick Logan’s mother, is currently in Good Samaritan Hospital being treated for a broken neck which she suffered as a result of a fall in the home. Trixie has been no stranger to pain and suffering, both physical and emotional, but she continually trusts our Lord knowing the He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Trixie’s gentle spirit and warm loving heart have been a source comfort for all who have been blessed with knowing her.
In addition to her current medical needs there is the need for fellowship and ministry. Trixie has no immediate family to surround and support her during this time of need. As said earlier Trixie is no stranger to pain. Her daughter Regina was diagnosed as a child with cancer, she is a survivor and now is the full time caregiver to her husband who himself is disabled. They do not have a car and public transportation is really not a viable option.
Her youngest son Ronnie, her “angel” was killed tragically at a very young age. Not long after this Trixie’s husband Dick passed. This leaves her oldest son Rick.
As many of you know Rick Logan, has been incarcerated in the Suffolk County Correctional Facility for almost two years now. Rick had come to the Lord shortly before his incarceration. He had attended MLITD #73 and well as Long Island Credo #1.  Rarely do we get a front seat opportunity to watch the hand of God in action, and those of us who have had the privilege and honor to fellowship with Rick and watch what God has done in this man’s heart is just beyond words.
With all that said, I spoke with Trixie yesterday afternoon. Although she was glad to hear a familiar voice, I detected a tone of desperation and fear, which after prayerful consideration has prompted us to make the following call for action.
Trixie needs not just our prayers, but our love as well. She needs someone to hold her hand. Someone to provide a sincere smile and a kiss on the cheek. Someone to give her a warm hug. Someone to put their hands on her and pray with her. Someone to read scripture with her. Someone to read all the notes of encouragement that hopefully this community will send. Someone who will share stories of the magnificent work Jesus Christ has done in their lives. Someone who will let our Lord’s light shine thru them to warm and comfort this beautiful child of God.
We ask, plead and beg all of you who are reading this request to search your hearts and petition the Lord for His will for you to come to the side of our sister in Christ. Simply pause and ask yourselves “What would Jesus want me to do”
(Hint- Matthew 25:31-46)
If you feel lead to send to Trixie get well cards, written prayers and/or letters of encouragement, they can be sent to:
Mike & Renee McCardle
4 Brooktree Circle
Lindenhurst N.Y. 11757
We will personally deliver them to Trixie. Also, if additional details such as room number, visiting hours or updated status are needed you can call us at: 631.225.5772.
Lastly, we ask that you keep Rick Logan in your prayers. Rick is stationed behind enemy lines in a hostile environment and yet has managed to not only to survive, but to thrive as he continually seeks Christ in every situation. Rick’s heart is breaking that he cannot be with his mother physically at this time. He continues to pray that our gracious Lord will raise up brothers and sisters in Christ to come to the side of his mom during this difficult and trying time. Please consider sending Rick letters of encouragement as well.
(Hint- Matthew 25:31-46)
Richard Logan
Suffolk County Correctional; Facility
110 Center Drive
Riverhead, N.Y. 11901
Thank you all for reading our long winded request. May God’s love continue to abound in you as you seek His will, for the glory and honor of our God, and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear family in Christ,
I am sorry I have not been able to sit down and write to you before this.  Thank you for your continued concern, emails, phone calls, cards and most of all, for your prayers. You really are an encouragement to us and you give us strength & comfort.  Thank you for being such faithful brothers and sisters in the Lord.  Please know that, as we learn of your needs and prayer requests, we are praying for you as well.
To recap -  as of July, Steven had a pseudo cyst that measured 7 inches filled with whatever was leaking from his pancreas. July 7th he started spiking high fevers. July 11th he was admitted to LIJ in New Hyde Park. He was there for two weeks. That's a long story in itself, but while he was there they drained one and a half liters of fluid from him (not including the 800 ml. they drained from his left lung) and placed an external drain. He has been back to the doctor/hospital once per week because of problems with the drain. It keeps getting clogged. And even though they can change the tube or unclog the one that's in, this is not addressing the problem that his pancreas continues to leak.
Steven is walking around in constant pain with this clogged drain hanging from him that I keep trying to unclog every day with saline syringes. He feels nauseous a lot of the time and tired all of the time.  He is still getting fevers but not as high as they were before his most recent hospital stay.  That drain has been in him for three weeks now. His pancreas has been leaking since it was damaged during his surgery on December 27, 2010.
Sooooo... I called around to get copies of all his medical records and we called Columbia Presbyterian. Did you know there is a Center for Pancreases? We are waiting to find out if they will take us. I'm not knowledgeable in any of this, but I'm thinking that there has got to be SOMETHING that can be done besides continue to leak and wait.
If you have read this far (bless you!) please pray for Steven to be accepted for treatment at Columbia Presbyterian Pancreas Center a.s.a.p.
Most of you know me fairly well, so it won’t surprise you that I have to include the lesson.  He always has one.  As a matter of fact, I believe that’s the whole point of everything we experience on this side of heaven &ldots; to learn, to grow, to become who He planned for us to be.  He didn’t already create us, He IS creating us right now!  Kind of exciting when you think about it, isn’t it?
Know your God.
In Daniel 11, an angel explains the vision of things to come that Daniel has seen.  He tells of times of war, deception, and power struggles that threaten all who are alive and “&ldots;a very cruel and hated man, who will not have the honor of being from a king's family. He will attack the kingdom when the people feel safe, and he will take power by lying to the people.”  (v.21 NCV)
“&ldots;but the people who know their God will firmly resist [the evil ruler.]” (v.32 NIV)
“&ldots;but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” (v.32 NKJ)
“&ldots;But those who know God and obey him will be strong and fight back.” (v.32 NCV)
During a time of distress the likes of which has never been seen on earth before, the people who know their God and obey Him will be strong and accomplish bold and daring acts for God’s kingdom.
Now, in my lesser time of distress, I can do the same thing.  The secret is to know my God.  More than ever, I need to be seeking Him diligently &ldots; reading His word and living it &ldots; spending some time each day alone with Him &ldots; allowing His Spirit to overtake me&ldots;  And as I do that, He truly provides everything I need.
I am just one of many human beings, placed on this earth for a short time, deciding what to do with the time I’m given.  I have chosen to follow Jesus to the best of my ability.  So when my Lord teaches me something, I try to practice it.  This is what He is teaching me now and this is what I am practicing: Know your God.
And He is faithful.  He never leaves me alone.  People say things to me like, “I don’t know how you do it &ldots; It’s amazing how you can remain so calm through all of this &ldots; I can’t believe you’re up on that altar every Sunday singing, with all you have going on in your life &ldots;” and the best is, “I can really see the Holy Spirit in you.” (Wow. That is stunning to me.)  It has occurred to me that what you are seeing when you see peace, joy and the Holy Spirit in me &ldots; that’s the fourth man in the fire!  “and the form of the fourth [man] is like the Son of God.” (Daniel 3)  I assure you, it IS the Son of God!
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!" Revelation 5:12
With love and gratitude from a fellow servant of the Most High God in training!
 Hi every one  Its been a while since we've updated Little Layla. She is  currently on Chemo- and will be for at least six weeks. The doctors are optomistic because she is having an easier time breathing. So they believe that the tumor is shrinking and might eventually be opperable. They know that it is a childhood cancer and very agressive. But God is good and can do great things. Thank you for continually asking and praying about her.
Dear Friends - I have just received a call from Jean Goodwin.  Alice's husband Rory has informed her that Alice was admitted to the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead yesterday.  She recently has had a series of colds that she could not shake causing breathing difficulties and now is also having a problem with her kidneys.  At present she is in ICU to monitor her condition.
Please  hope and pray for dear Alice.  She has been a rock for our lovely church as well as a good friend to everyone and it is sincerely hoped that she will have no problem in her recovery and be back enjoying her new home.
Jean has told me that Rory will be keeping her posted and I will be happy to forward this information to you all.
Steve Decillis Udate
 So, the doctors could not place the stent internally for Steven on Wednesday.  Thursday morning he was taken to Interventional Radiology to have another group of doctors and their assistants try. He had a bad night before and was tired, still experiencing some pain and feeling nauseous.
They took us to Interventional Radiology for the procedure at 10 a.m. where Steven waited (feeling terrible) for two hours before they finally took him.  The procedure went well.  It only took about 20-30 minutes. They extracted one and one-half liters of infected fluid from him.  Yes, you read that correctly - one and one-half liters. They left a tube in him that is still allowing drainage.
When the anesthesia (quickly) wore off (still in the same room) Steven experienced excruciating pain.  He called for medication but they did not want to give it to him.  Finally after about a half an hour of him insisting, they gave him some morphine.  I wish I had been in the room at that point because I know that morphine never works on him.
Once we were back in his regular room, he continued to be in great pain.  At first everyone acted as though he was being ridiculous.  After a temperature reading of 103°, they started taking him more seriously. With our constant “reminding,” they gave Steven some dilaudid and at about 3:30 – 4:00 p.m., he finally felt some relief.
At that point, the SWAT team showed up!  Right from the bed in his room, he had an EKG, a sonogram, blood work, an x-ray, “global” antibiotics, a physical exam by the resident, more blood work &ldots; there were 10-12 hospital staff surrounding Steven doing their respective jobs for 30-45 minutes.
When all the testing was done and the results were in, the doctors were concerned about the high fever, low oxygen levels, elevated white blood cell count and elevated heart-rate.  They told us they were worried that when the (very large) infection was disturbed and drained, it may have gotten into his blood.  They decided to transfer him to ICU to keep a close eye on him in case of septic shock.
FIVE HOURS LATER he was actually moved.  Two patients were released, three new patients were admitted, the nurses shift changed, machines were beeping all over the place, there was a brawl between the daughter of one patient and the patient in the next bed, the guy in the next bed had his room changed &ldots;
By 10:30 p.m., Steven was resting comfortably in Surgical ICU and I was able to make the long trek to my car and finally go home.  I am grateful that he is where he is now.  He has the pain meds he needs and some one keeping a close eye on him.  Thank you, Lord!
Wendy and I are friends with Rosane Warsaw. Rosanne has a granddaughter; Layla who is in Stonybrook hospital. She is 5 years old and has a 6 inch tumor on her liver.
 The doctors are certain it is an incredibly aggressive form of cancer, and have arranged for emergency surgurey tommorrow. The tumor is pressing into her lungs
and making it dificult to breath.  If they are able to remove the tumor she will have to endure a year of chemo-at least to take care of it.  the family of little Layla Warsaw is asking for prayer. They are asking for a miracle.
Thanks for your prayers and attention.
From Debbie
Steven has been in the hospital since yesterday (Monday July 11th).  He has been running a fever and suffering with extreme chills, sweats, and abdominal pain.  He is scheduled to have an endoscopic procedure tomorrow to try to place stents inside in order to drain the gunk that has been leaking from his pancreas since his December surgery.  At this point, the fluid has formed a cyst that is about 7 inches in size. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors, nurses and all involved in Steven's care; also for God's mighty presence with Steven and I.  May God use all we go through for His glory.
"praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven,
because everything he does is right and all his ways are just." Daniel 4:37
From Carol Arnold,
Sad news.  Larry's cousin, Ralph, died Sunday night.  Please continue to pray for his family.  Please pray for traveling mercies for Larry as he travels back to Arizona on Wednesday.  I know it will be more difficult for him because I won't be there.  The flights are ridiculously expensive because of the all star game in that area.  We certainly can't afford for two of us to go.  Please pray for peace in his cousin's family.  They lost their father a year ago and now have lost a brother.  There has been a horrible fight going on amongst the eight siblings.  We are especially worried about Larry's Aunt Rita.  She has a heart condition and she is broken hearted  over the events of this last year.  We pray that God will give them the miracle of healing.  It's gotten so ugly that it would take just that - a miracle from Him.  My poor husband is going right into the middle of this.  He loves them all and is devastated mostly by losing his cousin, who was like a brother, but by all the nonsense that is going on, too.  Please, dear Lord, bring healing and peace and love back to them.  Thank you all for your continued prayers.
Love you all, Carol
(Vicki Goodwin) Update on Steven
Steven sat up in a chair today.  He is still on dialysis but they are going to try and cut back but not definite as to when. They have called in a specialist due to his left hand has swelled up and become weakened.  He developed a blood clot in his neck so he was put on a blood thinner.  Still no results for the testing for infection.  He is slowly progressing and the doctor feels he is very strong and is doing very good.  That's about it for now.  Prayerfully his condition will continue to progress and the complications will cease.
Thanks for the prayers
From Nicole Trudil-Gogarty
To my Family and Friends,
I am asking for prayers for the families and friends of the four people shot and killed on Fathers Day at a Pharmacy in Medford.  This pharmacy is in my neighborhood and this tragic event has been a large focus of our town and its residents. I praise God that the young girl killed was a great believer in our Father and that her family has been able to keep Him in the forefront of their hearts, minds and words. I am however saddened that most people I hear talking are wondering where God was in all of this.  As believers we know where He was and that His place was by their side.  I have no doubt about that.  I am also saddened when I hear that most people want to see the man who took those lives dead rather than arrested.
This morning the man was arrested just one block from my house and while I was writing this email a co-worker asked me to look at his picture on the news because he looked familiar.  I knew instantly that it was a guy who works next door to us, David.  This guy who I've driven home behind, who always said Hi, who helped us often when unloading equipment from delivery trucks is apparently the same man who felt he had to take such drastic measures that Sunday morning.  I can't help but think "What demon got a hold of this seemingly everyday, regular, nice guy"?  It is making me cry.
For days I have been praying for the families and friends of the victims and also for the unknown man with the lost soul.  Today I am asking you to help me continue to pray for the families and friends but to also pray for David and his family who now must face a new set of difficulties and for the residents of our town.
God, let Your glory and love shine through and bring warmth and comfort to the hearts of those in shock and who are mourning.  May the demon who has overtaken David be removed and may David find his way to You, Lord.  God, let Your power renew the spirits of Your people.  Let the command for us to love one another become the focus of our thoughts and may we praise You each moment for the life that You have given us.
Thank you and may God bless your life daily,
Please pray for my sister Ashley Torres. After a 7 month pregnancy, has lost the baby. She still had to endure the labor process to get baby Aubree out since she was so far into the pregnancy. We don't have any answers as to why this happened so late in the pregnancy. But please pray for Ashley's healing and strength. As can be expected, she is devastated. She is planning for a Christening before funeral service for the baby. Also please pray for the understanding for her 4 year old daughter Victoria, to somehow grasp why she won't be a big sister anymore.
From Vicki Goodwin .
Update on Steven
Steven sat up in a chair today.  He is still on dialysis but they are going to try and cut back but not definite as to when. They have called in a specialist due to his left hand has swelled up and become weakened.  He developed a blood clot in his neck so he was put on a blood thinner.  Still no results for the testing for infection.  He is slowly progressing and the doctor feels he is very strong and is doing very good.  That's about it for now.  Prayerfully his condition will continue to progress and the complications will cease.
Thanks for the prayers...
God bless you,
Vicki Goodwin
From Lori Claudio ..
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
We must come together in unity and pray for our sister Gloria Schuck.  I don't have all the details from the result of surgery Monday but she said she has early stage cancer.
We who are in the ministry of Jesus Alive and all of you who partake in sharing your talents to the glory of God must gather in prayer for Gloria; knowing that our Father God has her in his arms, surrounding her with a hedge of protection and giving her all the strength and peace that goes beyond all understanding.  Gloria is a humble, strong women of God.  Her faith and our prayers will bring her through what lies ahead.  She is in our Father's hands.  We pray this in the name of Jesus!!  Amen.  Thank you
From Larry Arnold .
Actually, it's Larry's cousin Ralph who is so sick.  He is home from the hospital and made the decision to try chemo.  Larry spoke to him tonight and he sounded good. His prognosis is terminal, but we still pray for a miracle.  God is so good - He gave Larry and Ralph about an hour of alone time.  That in itself is a miracle because the whole family had flown in that weekend (there are 8 siblings).  Larry witnessed to his cousin and Ralph was very receptive.  He said tonight that he was so grateful for the time they had to talk and he is thinking about everything Larry said.  His sister is still there for a few days.  As soon as she leaves, he said he wants to spend time talking to Karen, his wife, about Jesus.  Karen is a Christian, but he wasn't so receptive.  Larry and Ralph grew up together and were always so close.  I guess that is why God sent Larry to speak to him.  Thank you all for your prayers.  Please keep lifting up Ralph and his family and especially for his salvation.  God bless you all and thank you for caring, loving hearts!  Where would any of us be without  Jesus and each other.
Steve DeCillis
Intestinal blockage corrected itself after two days, praise God.  Doctors are in disagreement on whether to operate on the pool created by the leaking pancreas.  One wants to observe the other wants to go in within the next two weeks.  I will speak to both this week but my feeling is that as long as the pain is tolerable to wait and see if the pancreas stops leaking by itself and the fluids are absorbed by the body. Thanks for all the prayers, cards and calls.
Paul Weiss
From Steve De Cillis for Paul,
I’d like to ask you to add my sister, Phyllis Manrod, to your prayer list. She has just been diagnosed with kidney cancer.
This Friday she is having outpatient surgery to scrape the inside of her bladder where there are some small tumors that they believe just traveled from her kidney. There will then be a follow up surgery to remove her kidney.
In Christ,
